Most of these children are malnourished.We give them fruits, dates, sprouts, kala chana & energy bars so that their health improves, It helps them to improve their attendance & grades too.
Children are malnourished and these conditions further deteriotate their health. It affects their studies and many are bound to leave school. We are trying to change this vicious situation by enabling them to live a healthy life.
Poverty is a great enemy to human happiness; it certainly destroys liberty, and it makes some virtues impracticable, and others extremely difficult. We try to bring smile by various activities
We help underprivileged sportspersons from villages of Maharashtra to compete in sports events who lack basic requirements like shoes etc.
We run classes for slum children & who have stunted growth. We have started once-a-week Yoga classes for our students & hope they keep in good health & gain some height too.
Knowledge of the internet is the need of the day. These slum children can't afford to enrol on Computer Classes as the charges are beyond their budget.We have started Computer Classes for them on weekends to facilitate them to join & learn.
We started Spoken English Classes to help children become more employable and travel more easily to boost their brain power & personal growth.
There is no playground in slums with the result children atre deprived of sports so we started Chess Class for our students. Hopefully we might find champions in our class.
During the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja Lazim was introduced which helped In increasing muscle strength and flexibility. We have added it as our activity to revive this dance cum sports for our slum children, who hardly get any chance to play sports in the congested area of slum.
We teach them Art/ Craft/ Dance to encourage self-expression, and creativity to build self-confidence & sense of individual identity. They dance in H K College, Bhaidas Hall
Ms Asima Bhatt is using drama and theatre techniques to help slum children resolve conflicts and problems. It will also allow them to develop self-awareness, express emotions, and improve relationships.
15-year-old Dhruv Iyer started SWAYMAM TECH CLUB to help underprivileged children with basic IT skills and vocational training.
