Parents discourage girls from going for higher studies, stating financial crunch, reasoning that they will get married & higher education will not serve any purpose as they will be homemakers. We started conducting basic Beautician Classes so that the girls can earn & learn without being a financial burden on their parents. We started Self Help Groups for women as most of them didn't have documents to open Bank Accounts. Now 60 ladies save regularly. We gave sewing machines to the needy women who now stitch & supplement their family income. We encourage ladies to learn Art & Craft so that they can make products & earn pocket money out of it.
